The text deals with an innovative proposal in the field of brief and focal psychosocialeducational interventions. The interventions took place in a public health institution, carried out in a group with seven mothers and seven daughters who experienced or are experiencing situations of sexual violence and abuse. Vigilant Care (VC) is synonymous with parental presence. Through the suffering of mothers, daughters, a disconnection between the place and role of the mother in the daughters' lives was revealed; conversations resulting from the stages of the CV intervention involved the recovery of bonds, respectful horizontalization of power, rescue of the competence and authority of the parents. The supporters' work proved to be necessary to promote feelings of reconciliation, children and adolescents belonging to their family group.
