Abstract

This article focuses on the patient´s family, attended at the National Institute for Rehabilitation – (INAR), agency subsidized by the UN in their attendances at the Clinic of Orthopedics and Traumatology, Hospital of the University of São Paulo, USP, from the late 50´s to the end of the 60´s, extending this service to the late 90th, trough the activities of the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Vergueiro – DRPV, from 1974 to 1982 and the Central Institute of the same hospital, Division of Psychology, from 1982 to the late 90´s. Clients were assisted in the rehabilitation process and also by special demand at Clinical Orthopedics and Traumatology. We intend here to focus on the constructivist process in emergency, relational life circularized at that place, communicated affection, cooperation and friendship. We´ll try to present family relationships, the procedure in family therapy and other family interventions.
